New Bibs came in last week, I posted the rendering before and thought I’d post the final product.
So it was time for some new bib shorts, and instead of just getting someone else’s bibs I figured I would make my own. I have gotten custom gear before and to me it makes sense. Sometimes I pay a bit more than normally but at least it’s unique and represents what I want it to. When I used to do triathlons I got some custom gear made to represent a local basset hound rescue I worked with.
This time I wanted to get some 30Plus bibs, so I sent out the order and as in the last posted it was good to go. Now a couple weeks later (this time of year China shuts down for the new year so it was a bit delayed) I got my bibs.
They were kept simple, just a 30Plus on the back and leg grippers have ghosted donuts on them. Rest is black, figured I wanted to be able to swap jerseys and so wanted something a bit lower key. The bibs look great, grippers are nice and hold well. The fabric was a bit not what I was used to, the main part seemed a bit textured. I was used to more smooth fabrics, the texture was on the outside and not the inside so it’s not like they were against the skin, just haven’t had that before.
The shammy was good, I have gotten two rides in and couple trainer rides in them and they felt good. The padding is more in the back and minimal up front. Which makes sense, the padding needs to be in the sit bones area, not the taint, that stuff pushes and cuts off circulation!

Happy with the bibs and next will see how long they last, how many rides they last etc. I am always curious what others have and how long they last. So let me know how long your bibs usually last and how you take care of them.
